Lipread Scotland reaches out to everyone in respect of learners of lipreading and family members, qualified lipreading tutors, trainee tutors, and also works with those agencies that are promoting sensory loss.
The main aim of Lipread Scotland is to promote Lipreading for all those who need this skill for everyday communication all over Scotland.
Our Mission
Lipread Scotland’s Mission is to make Scotland inclusive for anyone with a hearing loss by enhancing their communication through lipreading, and so reducing isolation and frustration, and increasing physical and mental wellbeing.
Our Vision
Lipread Scotland’s Vision is to increase the number of lipreading classes in all areas of Scotland, thereby improving the wellbeing and confidence of people who are impacted by hearing loss.
Lipread Scotland aims to carry out this Vision by providing recognised training opportunities for new tutors and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for qualified tutors.
